URCHINSEC CTF RULES


  1. Attacking the infrastructure or any attempt to disrupt the competition is prohibited.
  2. Do not discuss answers to challenges with other participants.
    • For help with challenges, please visit the tech-support channel where we can help you directly
    • General discussion on problem-solving for each category of challenges is fine, but specifics are a no-go.
  3. If you have questions about challenges or you believe that you found a correct flag, but the system is not accepting it, ask authors on discord.
  4. We have a custom dynamic scoring system, which means that the challenge’s points depend on the number of its solves.
  5. All flags fall into the following format urchinsec{something-h3re!}, unless the challenge description states otherwise.
  6. All crucial information about challenges or the competition will be announced in the announcement channel on discord.
  7. The competition will last for the estimated amount mentioned on the ctf platform.
  8. Automated tools and bruteforcing are prohibited upon the CTF platform
  9. Please save the solver scripts , the winning teams may be asked for writeups at the end of the CTF.
  10. Do not use usernames/aliases that may impersonate someone else, or be of foul language, Let's be respective here please.
  11. Constructive criticism is a helpful way of giving feedback that provides specific suggestions for improvement instead of solely focusing on the negatives. So, please represent your feedback in a respectful way and focus on constructive criticism.
  12. One member can't participate in the CTF playing in two teams, as a result both teams the member is in will be disqualified and removed from the scoreboard
  13. Maximum team size is 4 members.
